Frits van Brenk works as an external consultant in the Motor Speech Disorders Laboratory in the Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
He previously worked as postdoctoral researcher in the Motor Speech Disorders Laboratory, and as lecturer in the Linguistics program at Utrecht University in the Netherlands, where he also received his BA and Research MA in Linguistics. His research focuses on the assessment of speech of neurotypical speakers and speakers with neurological disorders, in particular speech characteristics of persons with dysarthria and apraxia of speech.
